プロフィール
私の研究は、鉄鋼業界での実務経験と国際的な業務経験を基盤としています。私は15年間、鉄鋼業界で勤務した後、実務で得た知見を活かしたいと考え、大学教員へと転身しました。日本鉄鋼連盟では、開発途上国の鉄鋼業に関する調査・研究に携わり、日本の鉄鋼業界の立場からOECDやG20の国際会議に参加しました。また、フランス・パリのOECD事務局での勤務を通じて、国際的な視点から鉄鋼業の動向を学ぶ機会を得ました。こうした経験が、現在の研究活動の基盤となっています。
研究内容
私は、開発途上国における工業化と鉄鋼業の関係を研究しています。鉄はビルや自動車、橋など、私たちの暮らしを支える社会基盤を構成する重要な素材であり、工業化の進展において欠かせない存在です。こうした地域では、どのような生産技術が選ばれ、それが各国の鉄鋼業や経済全体にどのような影響を与えているのかを明らかにしようとしています。統計データの分析と現地での聞き取り調査を組み合わせることで、産業発展の過程とその背後にある構造的な要因を解明することを目指しています。
